Dancer Access

Lillian Fama
is from Meriden,Connecticut where she has lived all her life. She will be teaching Tap and Hip Hop at Dance Xpressions this year. Her love of dance all began when her mother enrolled her in her first combination ballet/ jazz class at the early age of four. Being an only child, dancing has really helped her come out of her shell and made her the person she is today. She has been studying the art of dance for twenty years at various studios in the area. Her specialties are in the style of Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Though she does have quite a bit of experience in Modern and some in Ballet. She is a strong motivated person with goals and ambitions that she pushes to meet. She has been performing and choreographing for many years (in high school and college levels). If she had to pick her favorite piece that she choreographed it would be a toss up between “NY Sidewalk” (an all rhythm tap piece) and “Cosi Vano” (a modern piece). Both were created while attending Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, Connecticut. She has aspirations of becoming a choreographer for a Tap company and/or choreographing hip hop pieces for different artists. Though right now her focus is on furthering her performance career and enjoying the lime light as much as she can. In the little time that Lillian is not dancing she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her bunny “bundala”. Her favorite quote is “You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star”, (Nietzsche) which actually makes her understand her mother’s craziness a little bit better. Lillian is excited to take on any challenge that faces her. Her motto is “Bring it on!”.
